Hello, My name is Joshua and I've been an atheist for about 3 months now due to my continued exposure to the internet and rational thought. I was raised very christian and brought up through a christian school, but after simply watching a few videos on youtube, including a few of theveganatheist's videos, I came to consider myself an atheist. I believe that belief without evidence is simply irrational and that Christian fundamentalists have a heavy negative influence on society, mainly the USA, where I live. At my previous christian school which I went to for 5 years, they taught homophobia, anti-evolution, anti-abortion, anti big bang, and anti science in general. I am happy to be a part of this forum and I want to thank veganatheist for your fantastic youtube channel and thought through videos.

Welcome! It's awesome that you're able to detect logic when you see it! I'd like to know what your opinions on veganism are. Have you ever considered it?

Re: Hey
I have indeed thought about veganism and I am definitely interested in it, however my entire family eats meat on a daily basis and since I'm 15 and still live with my parents, I feel like Asking them to adjust all of their food to make it vegan would be a big ask. When I go to college I plan to be vegan, but for now I think I'm gonna keep eating what's made for me. I also haven't told my parents I'm an atheist as I dont know how they would react.Thewhovianathogwarts wrote:Welcome! It's awesome that you're able to detect logic when you see it! Re: Hey
A few of my good friends know I'm an atheist. My dad is very religious and conservative and my mother is religous but more liberal. I consider myself a liberal and I wouldn't think about telling my parents that I'm an atheist. I don't tell many people about my atheism because it's very looked down upon especially here in texas.EquALLity wrote:Oh my god.
