What are your predictions about the Nintendo NX?
My predictions are:
It will be a console and a handheld in one.
Games will no longer be in disc form but will be downloaded from the Nintendo store. ( I do hope I'm wrong on this one)
It will not be apart of the Wii or DS series.
Motion control games will not be made for this console.

Well, there are other options than disk or download. Download only is problematic, since it requires an internet connection, and the lack of a need for one is a huge part of the console market. You may be right, though.
If so, my guess is it will ship with a large number of ported games preloaded to compensate.
From what I've read, it will not be a hybrid console and handheld, but will have multiple parts. So, we're probably looking at wireless communication. It may be that the hub has to be online to get content. That would be different.
Both a cost savings on distribution, and a huge loss of a demographic through eliminating retail.

I don't like the idea of downloading the games and I do hope I'm wrong with that prediction. I like owning hard copies personally.

A rumour has it Nintendo filed a patent for a console without an optical drive. If that is true, then you might be correct about games being downloads. But imagine they made games in cartridges again. That'd be so cool. cartridges do have the memory capabilities AND speed, so it wouldn't be a problem. They are also harder to fake, to break and to hack. And just imagine not having to buy expensive pendrives or hard drive disks. That'd be so sick. I think it will be some kind of gadget for the Wii U, kida like the Sega CD. And there will be exclusive games for it. Or maybe a Wii U upgrade, but there's no way Nintendo would release a totally new, standalone system so early. If they do though, it'll probably be some kind of weird handheld.
I do agree in it not having gimmicks like the Wii U pad or Wii motion controller. They've probably learned from their experience with the Wii U by now.
Honestly, i do not know what to expect, it could be anything.
