Someone had to post it at some point, and someone might have done so already but I didn't see it, so we'll just go with it already. xD
What is your Ethnicity ? I know it might put some into discomfort to talk about but I for some reason find it fun and interesting to talk about. My nationality is majorly German and Irish, but also with English, Scottish, and Cherokee. Sometimes I'll say Germanic Celtic and Cherokee.

Re: What is your Nationality?
Do you mean Ethnicity? Nationality is something different.

Re: What is your Ethnicity?
I know I've definitely got some English, Scottish, Irish, Icelandic, and German genetic heritage. I specified "genetic heritage," because I hold very few cultural traditions of my ancestors from those places, which is fairly common for being at least a third or fourth generation Canadian. (I'm not sure about all of my ancestors, as for how far their history in Canada went back, though I know that most of my grandparents were born here, probably some of their parents, or maybe even parents' parents too.)
I also might have some French, or maybe Belgian heritage. There's some uncertainty around where my surname of all things has come from. From what I've heard, it seems like it has some German origin, but that it may have been Francophonized possibly when some of my ancestors originally came to Quebec, or maybe those ancestors were just French, or Flemish.
The single, somewhat unique cultural thing I've retained some knowledge of is an Icelandic dessert cake called "Vinarterta." I had learned a few years ago how to make it, though I can't remember whether it's normally Vegan or not. If not, I think I would be interested in figuring out a Vegan version of its recipe, which would probably be easy enough.

Re: What is your Ethnicity?
I'm half German (Saxon specifically) and half Netherlandish* (Frisian). I speak German moderately well (not fluent, but good enough for simple conversations). I don't speak Netherlandish* very well, but I get better every time that I visit my father's family in Friesland. I also don't know any Frisian other than "Oant Sjen".
Fortunately my Opa is coming from Friesland to California (arriving at the airport tomorrow) to spend time with my family so I'll get plenty of practice speaking with him!
*I try to avoid saying the English word "Dutch", which is a distortion of the German word "Deutsch" (which means "German").
