There are very silly people who believe vaccines for smallpox, measles, etc. will give a child autism. Their statements are false.
The thing is that ive heard alot of conflicting evidence on whether or not flu vaccines are harmful. Theres been talks about lead and other stuff in them and i want to know if theyre safe. Yea they're not super effective but i feel like any help (as long as it wont hurt me) is beneficial.
Links to evidence yo! Thanks

Re: Vaccines
All vaccines carry some small risk (not autism, but other minor risks), it's just that the risk is so minuscule compared to be benefit that it's crazy not to vaccinate for the most serious disease threats.
When we start getting down to flu, the issue is more controversial, since the flu is less dangerous.
If you're working in healthcare, or are around seniors or young children who may have weaker immune systems (or you are a senior or somebody with a weakened immune system), you should definitely get vaccinated.
Otherwise, probably not. Flue shots are a crap shoot, and may not do anything against the flu you actually come into contact with. And, importantly, vaccines are not free from harm -- I don't mean to your health (that's a kind of silly concern, since the risk is so very small), but to the environment and animals. If you need it, it's totally reasonable, but if not, it's more debatable.

Re: Vaccines
I never take flu vaccines because I am naturally extremely tolerant to it. But anyone who advocates for not taking them is an idiot.
I still feel really upset that Oregon ( my home state ) failed to initiate its Vaccine bill that would had made giving your children basic vaccines a non choice mandatory thing. California was successful and I hope it stays and sets an example.
I remember a while back that we also turned down pot and gay marriage. The second time around I am sure that people will change their minds.

We are all born Atheists, everyone of us. We are born without the Shackles of theism arresting our minds. It is not until we are poisoned by the fears and delusions of others that we become trapped in the psychopathic dream world of theism.
