Hi there,
I have been vegan for nearly two years now and a couple of months ago I got my blood checked.
It seemed all fine except low vitamin D and borderline lower white blood cell count.
My question is if it is normal for vegans to have lower white blood cell count than normal?
Please do share your views.
Regards,
Giuseppe

Re: Lower white blood cells count in vegans
Welcome,
It seems you aren't getting enough sunlight to make enough of your own vitamin D.
I suggest you take a vitamin D supplement to compensate.
The deficiency could explain your low white blood cell count. I don't think that would be normal for vegans, no.
