I've always been a cartoon guy. Anime was never my thing. However, there are a few that I've seen very recently and enjoyed very much.

Zankyou no Terror,
Tokyo Ghoul,
and Death Parade

It makes more sense? Why?

I felt brotherhood skimmed over a lot of what happened in FMA , the initial parts which were similar (as they presumed people may have already watched it and didnt want a repeat). It was done very quickly to take folks to the parts where it was different so they could have done more justice to the initial parts for the nee series. So in those ways watching FMA first makes more sense. Personally i liked the Initial parts much more in FMA than fmab. Another reason being its shorter AFAIK.

Yes, the initial parts were much better, but i think in brotherhood they explained a lot of things that were left unexplained. Brotherhood was also darker and more violent than the original so maybe that's why i like it the most xD
And i didn't really like the ending of the original, but that might be just me.

Not a big anime person myself, but I don't mind a little DBZ or Naruto from time to time.

I Also like steins gate, samurai champloo and planetes. Also most Miyazaki's films.
I didn't quite relate to kill LA kill.

I just watched an episode of Kill La Kill last night. Had no fucking idea what the hell was going on.

I don't watch anime either, I thought I was the only one. Some exceptions could be like yu gi oh but I even dislike the anime in that.

Cartoons however, I was religious over back in my youth (nothing worth killing people over, unlike anime fan base) and still are but never have the time to watch seasons. I adore animation, I really do. I watch almost every animation I can find on youtube.

Japanese anime... however... I simply cannot enjoy the level of animation. Their animation sucks... oh no, I hope I don't get nailed to the fucken wall saying that. While cartoons did have some shitty animation, bad japanese animation surpass more in my opinion. It's fact that when you focus more on detail, the level of animation decreases, because of simply it becoming more of a chore to animate. Cartoons were less detailed, and thus easier to animate.

When I watch animation... I watch it just that. The animation. When I play games, I play it for just that, the game play. So when I watch a Japanese anime, it fails in animation, and I heavily lose interest. Tons of choppy frame rates, still frames, key frames, repeats, you name it -- they abuse it.

Again, cartoons can fail the same way.

My only favourite anime would be Panty and stockings because it was pretty much a cartoon. (loved the way they did both cartoon / anime hybrid, need more of it).

My brother is a classic otaku. So him and all his friends really turned me off to Anime.

But I did go through a phase where I liked it. Watched Bleach, Death Note, DBZ, Ouranhigh host club, and lots more. But it just wasnt for me, after a while. And now it REALLY annoys me.
