Satanist or not, why do you participate in the irrational behavior of meat eating?

Are you just reacting against Buddhism, like a rebellious teen without thinking about it rationally?
Do you not realize that we're destroying our own environment, and our own collective health, with this behavior?

An animal is threatening your life? Sure, defend yourself. Kill it if you need to. Somebody is murdering and damaging society? Sure, kill them if you must. Pacifism can be bullshit.

But breeding animals, wasting food resources, promoting famine, war, global warming (which is a human issue, and one that may lead to our own destruction as a species), and disease which is threatening our survival is not anything resembling rational behavior.
No remotely sensible egoist, objectivist, or satanist, should agree with that kind of behavior.

Have you seen the documentary "cowspiracy"?

It matters since satanism, especially modern satanism is focused on individualism and selfish desires.

I think those buddhists from your family were an exception...buddhists do react and retaliate if its needed, if there is a religion who would not retaliate, that is jainism, not buddhism.

I know this because taoism and buddhism are very similar in concepts, and its very clear that for the oriental, human life matters.

Yes, but it's also based on rational self interest, and stopping short of violating the same liberties of your fellow man.
LaVey based his Satanism on the work of Ayn Rand, and built on it from there with other ideas.

Meat eating is destructive to the self and environment we live in, and harms and kills our fellow human beings too because they have to share this environment.
If "my freedom to swing my fist ends where your face begins", destroying our shared environment is a freedom that no rational egoist should believe we have.
It goes against any principles of rational egoism/selfishness, since it's counter productive to self interest, and social stability and survival.

Satanism also advises against senseless killing of animals, while recognizing that you can kill for survival (such as self defense or food if necessary).
But meat is no longer necessary thanks to science.
Satanism is science positive, rather than a conservative religion that is against humanity improving the world through invention. It means they shouldn't reject scientific advances that make it possible to live more healthfully and sustainably without meat.
This means meat is no longer necessary or useful to survival (the opposite is true: meat threatens survival today), and so it has become senseless killing. Satanism should in practice mandate veganism in the modern era.

The world has changed a lot since 1967.

Proof of anthropogenic of global warming and harm to your fellow man from your actions.
Proof animal agriculture is a main culprit.
Proof that man can live healthfully without meat (B-12 was first produced in commercial scales in the 1950s, so this was a new thing then).
And even more healthfully, when eating beans and veggies with a B-12 supplement (thanks science).

I agree.

Unfortunetly not all think that way, in my 20s i had a friend who was very into orthodox theology and was murdered by satanists in my former neighborhood, after that i entered to study these fields, and there are several forms of satanism, and they do contain dogma just like the monotheistic religions, those laws are not that different from those from the old testament. So i have some motives why i am against it, of course i do not imply all are the same, but my experience with these left me against it.

In rest i agree with everything you pointed out about veganism and meat.

Its still hard for me, here the ordinary milk is 3 Ron (ron is romanian currency), bio milk is 6 ron and the veg milk is 11 ron...so its very expensive for me. I discussed the issue with my wife and i did say to her that if it was about the same price i would have buy that.

Now i seldom eat eggs since from our last discussion on the topic,, yet even brocolli are expensive at about 12 ron, eggs sell with 0,30 -0,50 ron. :(

Is that per kilogram?

The cheapest and most available source of vegan protein is usually beans. Did you try my suggestion from the other thread?

We should discuss it more there, so we don't take over this thread. :)
