Talking about your different beliefs is different from debating the validity of them. ;) (I'm agnostic myself, so I agree more with you than your mother, btw)

I find it interesting that you used a quote from the old testament. Perhaps a new testament quote suggestion. Turn the other cheek, perhaps?

I'm not taking your mother's side, but I enjoy playing the devil's advocate sometimes. I had the exact same issue with my mother and a sibling of mine. Took years, but eventually we all just accepted each others beliefs. I only suggest because it is family, and not a forum designed for debates, be gentle with them. :)
