Christianity debate
Just a question for Christians, should a Athiest who prevented WWIII and ended world hunger be condemned to hell? And should a serial killer who repented before he died go to heaven?

This reminded me of Alan Turing and Hitler.TheSpiritualist243 wrote:Just a question for Christians, should a Athiest who prevented WWIII and ended world hunger be condemned to hell? And should a serial killer who repented before he died go to heaven?
Thanks to Alan Turing WW2 ended 4 years before than it was anticipated to end. But he was homosexual and an atheist.
Hitler caused the mass murder of millions of jews, but he was a christian.

Unfortunately we do not have any active christian forum members around to answer your question.TheSpiritualist243 wrote:Just a question for Christians, should a Athiest who prevented WWIII and ended world hunger be condemned to hell? Re: Christianity debate
Having been raised a Christian, there is a simple answer. If the Atheist did not accept Jesus, then he is damned to hell, do not pass go, do not collect $200. If the serial killer accepted Jesus, then yes, he will go to heaven. (Considering that the kkk is actually very Christian, I'd prefer the company in hell myself)miniboes wrote:Unfortunately we do not have any active christian forum members around to answer your question.TheSpiritualist243 wrote:Just a question for Christians, should a Athiest who prevented WWIII and ended world hunger be condemned to hell? No prob. I travel a lot so I can't always be active on the forum, but if you would like to debate Christianity, I would love to give you an honest perspective from a former Christian. (I do not agree with theist, but I try to be respectful of them)
Thanks for posting!

Re: Christianity debate
The phrasing of your question seems to be a little tricky though I expect this is unintentional. The examples given definitely can get an emotional rise out of people. Perhaps a better way to phrase it would be like this: “How can you, as a Christian believe in a God who would send a good person to hell for being an atheist, but would let a bad person who converted on his deathbed in?” By all means correct me if I misunderstood what exactly you were asking, this is just the gist of what I got out of your question.
What the question really seems to be getting at is why God doesn’t let people into heaven based on their good works. The answer is simple, no one could do enough to meet the standard of a perfect and holy God. Instead Christians believe that salvation is a free gift of grace through faith in Christ. This means that if anyone dies without accepting the gift of salvation, then they will be separated from God. As far as deathbed conversions go, God will know if its a sincere change of heart and turning from a life of sin or if its to get out of going to hell.
I think I may be the most active Christian on the forum, I check it about once a month and read every response to any post I make. I’ve done my best to answer your question as straightforwardly as possible and look forward to having a dialog with you.

Right, your an active Christian. Why would an all loving, all knowing God condemn people to hell?Deathdude650 wrote:The phrasing of your question seems to be a little tricky though I expect this is unintentional. Re: Christianity debate
That's a really good question. God gives people a choice to be with Him, that choice is called salvation and he offers it freely through Jesus Christ. God loves in respecting a person's choice to accept salvation or to not accept it. I would argue that it would be less loving for God to force people who don't want to be with him to go to heaven. Heaven is the last place a person who doesn't want to be with God would want to go.
