The European Union: In or Out?

Post by Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz »

Yo.

An important issue in today's United Kingdom is the EU. Who will a EU? This is an issue that has built up unlikely alliances, namely David Cameron (Conservative) and Jeremy Corbyn (Labour) in the EU Alliance and Boris Johnson (Conservative) and Nigel Farage (UKIP) in the BREXIT Alliance. I want to remain in the EU because we receive many economic benefits from EU, many laws passed that would not be if we leave, Britain has a voice at the table, but I am worried about EU and believe it does need reform, I wonder whether it is right whether such an organization should have so much of control a country. Your thoughts? Let me know what you think, are you EU, BREXIT, or are you unsure? Let me know in a comment as well as vote on the poll, in order that I can add your name to the lists below:

In
Me
Jeremy Corbyn - British Labour Party Leader
Barack Obama - U.S. Democratic President
Hillary Clinton - U.S. Democratic Presidential Candidate
Ed Miliband - Former British Labour Party Leader

Out
Boris Johnson - Former Conservative Mayor of London
Nigel Farage - UKIP Leader
Michael Gove - Former Conservative Secretary of State for Education
Iain Duncan Smith - Former Conservative Secretary of State for Work and Pensions
George Galloway - British Respect Party Leader
Donald Trump - U.S. Republican Presidential Candidate
Marine Le Pen - French National Front Leader

Leave

It's a dictatorship run by the bureaucratic elite, and they seem to be completely out of touch with reality and the European citizens

I think just slightly more nuance would not be out of place here. Or at least some kind of justification for these claims.

It's a dictatorship: I'm referring the growing distance between politicians and ordinary citizens, as well as the increasing distrust. People don't feel Bruxelles represents their views or acts in their interest in any way.

run by the bureaucratic elite: Kinda self-explanatory

and they seem to be completely out of touch with reality and the European citizens: Best example would be the EU's immigration policies. People are starting to feel it's much safer to leave the EU than to stay, if staying means having to share the suicidal immigration policy of e.g. Germany
