Do you agree with him, or disagree with him?
Why do you agree, or why do you disagree?

I hope you know about Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Teresa.
I think a person should be judged by their action and goodness and not by their religion.

Can you tell me about them? Should they go to hell in your view?
Gandhi started a social revolution which among other things made India independent of British rule. Was that ultimately good or bad for India?
It would be great to hear from some politically minded Indians on that.
Regarding Teresa, Here's Christopher Hitchen's article on her: http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/fighting_words/2003/10/mommie_dearest.html
Also note: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Mother_Teresa
On the personal side, Gandhi was a vegetarian, and at least he probably believed he was doing good politically.
As far as I know, Teresa ate meat, and even if she did any good in the world (which is a dubious notion without evidence; she probably did far more evil directly), she certainly caused more animal suffering than good.

Mahatma Gandhi,
BBC news:

and
http://zenhabits.net/mahatma-gandhis-5- ... rld-peace/
Mother Teresa was good and kind to all. She helped many poor and leprosy patients, and helped them to regain their physical and social state.
You may hear many critics about her. But to those whose life was saved by her consider her a deity. Even Mr. Zakir Naik admits they were good and rate them 100/100 for their work.
No or very little meat eater will ever believe that they are doing something wrong. That is why we are having very difficult time to convince meat eater to leave it. But I agree with you on this part.

Not necessarily, I've come across many meat-eaters who understand my reasoning when I explain why most people ought not to eat or wear animals, but most of them choose to do it anyways due to a lack of confidence. For example, many are ignorant about nutrition and fear that they will suffer health issues. They assume that a diet with animal products is "playing it safe", while a vegan diet is dangerous and risky. Perhaps the greatest obstacle for many to go vegan is that they eat animal products for emotional reasons: it's what they're used to and enjoy, and they can't bear to take that leap out of their comfort zone to experience something that will benefit themselves and others in the long run.Freiza wrote:No or very little meat eater will ever believe that they are doing something wrong. Of course there are a small portion of nonvegans who truly don't give a $#!& about the animals they're harming. I've met only very few people who display this attitude, and I do resent them for it.
Thankfully most people do seem to care about animals to a certain extent.

Mother Teresa remains a symbol of kindness throughout the world. There are many publications written upon her life and activity.

Mother Theresa was pretty much a piece of shit and I think Hitchens did a good job covering that. Gandhi did a lot of great things except for consuming dairy and fucking little girls. Penn & Teller had a Bullshit episode which was pretty critical of both of them plus the Dalai Lama.

Thank you for this informative post. I had never heard of these people so that google tip really came in handy. Thank you for that. By the way, the video link did not work.Freiza wrote:Mr. Zakir Naik claims that Mahatma Gandhi And Mother Teresa will go to hell.
