The end of Youtube?

Just looking at their updated community guidelines and the "Youtube heroes" program, it seems like this platform is destined to flop
- Making hurtful and negative comments/videos about another person

You could flag most videos based on such subjective and vague guidelines.


Will Youtube exclusively be funny cat videos in 5 years?

Or maybe it will contain more actual arguments and less interpersonal drama.

How would you define a "hurtful" comment? By which I mean, how will youtube define a hurtful comment?

I think its a way for the powers that be to just decide who they like, and who they want to ban. Can't have anyone getting their feelings hurt. Just like the rest of the real world!
Alcohol may have been a factor.

But under that system someone could get punished for correctly calling Vegan Cheetah an idiot and a schmuck :P

I suppose the guidelines could be either good or bad, it depends on how they will be implemented

I'm not terribly concerned, since it doesn't seem to address actual arguments, just comments about people.
