As the subject of the topic asks, what are some of your favourite TV shows?
(In no particular order)
I quite enjoy:
1) The Good Wife
2) Walking Dead
3) Suits
4) Whale Wars (if they ever air again)
5) Game of Thrones (not sure why people are so crazy about the show. Its good, but not so amazing as people make it out to be)
6) Big Bang Theory
7) Elementary
Shows I watch, but are not necessarily all that great (something to pass the time):
1) The Strain
2) Person of Interest
3) Chicago Fire

Re: Favourite TV Shows?
I don't watch TV much anymore, I sometimes watch movies.
I prefer to watch livestreams and Youtube videos of games for entertainment.
The only TV series I really like is The Walking Dead.
If you had to recommend one of those series you listed for me to watch, which one would it be? - except Big Bang Theory and The Walking Dead.

I don't watch a lot of series/TV shows. I generally prefer to watch movies. But Breaking Bad is definitely great. Also enjoyed House of Cards.

Re: Favourite TV Shows?
Last show I watched was Boardwalk empire. Its kinda got the same kinda drama feel Game of Thrones has. Good characters, political power struggles, side plots that eventually connect together, and unexpected main character deaths. But its set in the 1920's and even has quite a few historical figures like Al Capone, to name one.
As for favorites? Most of the HBO dramas, 1000 ways to die, mainstream anime, and I really liked cooking competition shows sadly they don't really have vegan cooking completion shows so its not too fun to watch them anymore.

Re: Favourite TV Shows?
I don't watch TV very often, so some of these shows I'm listing I probably haven't seen in a while, but I think my liking of them still stands enough to list them here.
The Simpsons - I haven't seen the show in a long time, but the first 8 or 9 seasons are great.
Futurama - I have to say I like this show just as much, if not better than The Simpsons now, though I used to be lukewarm on it, I've recently been watching the show quite a bit. The reboot seasons aren't as good as the classic Futurama seasons, but they're still better than the recent Simpsons ones.
The Walking Dead - I've only seen the first two seasons, but I've been meaning for a long time to pick it up again and watch the rest of the show sometime.
Game of Thrones - This one I've also only seen the first two seasons, but it's been very good just like The Walking Dead, I hope to find some time to watch the rest of what's been made so far sometime soon.
Hell On Wheels - I've seen a couple handfuls of episodes, and the setting and plot is pretty good. I also look forward to finding some time to watch the rest of it.
24 - I'm pretty sure I've seen the first 7 seasons, but that was a while ago. I've recently watched the first 5 seasons again, but lost interest with the 6th one probably due to my binge watching of it. It's a great, thrilling show, definitely one of my favourites.
Mysteries at the Museum - I really like these sorts of shows. I'm a big fan of learning about history, and mysteries, so this show really hits the spot and it's not nearly as "conspiracy theorist like" as William Shatner's Weird or What is, though I still like that one too.
Monumental Mysteries - almost identical to Mysteries at the Museum (even has the same host, and production values) but focuses on mysteries which don't necessarily revolve around an item situated in a museum.
There's probably some more I'm forgetting, so I'll be sure to mention them in this thread when they come to mind.

Re: Favourite TV Shows?
I've been watching the Big Bang Theory with mom because she likes it & I can't stand the animal testing comments they make and how they laugh at it put in societies mind that it is a 'light' matter or something to laugh at it... Also I thought the brainy chick is a RL vegetarian I don't get how she can say those jokes about animal testing and claim herself a vegetarian...? I really actually boycotted the show when I heard their first animal testing remark.. What do you guys feel, doesn't t make you really mad when you hear about that??
Also heeehee my TV show faves are

I would have to hear the specific animal testing jokes to know if I'd really have a problem with them. I can't actually say I find TBBT funny often. I don't want to sound like an annoying bandwagoner, but I think if the laughtrack were taken out of the show, that people would be compelled to laugh at the "jokes" in the show much less often. There is the occasional joke there that's funny, but a lot of the time without a laughtrack saying "this is funny," to the viewer, the dialogue would just seem awkward.PrincessPeach wrote:I've been watching the Big Bang Theory with mom because she likes it & I can't stand the animal testing comments they make and how they laugh at it put in societies mind that it is a 'light' matter or something to laugh at it... They make a lot of rhesus monkey jokes, none that I can remember I only remember cringing hearing the word "rhesus monkey" on television followed by you called it the laughtrack...!
