Hi!
I'm very glad I found this forum, I hope I learn a bit more about veganism and hopefully engage in some meaningful conversation.
I'm trying to reduce my animal product consumption, for environmental and ethical reasons. I'm interested in a fact-based approach to veganism.
Right now I'm basically fully convinced as for the moral justification for veganism. My two only problems are:
1. Dog ownership - I own a dog from a breeder and I know it's frowned upon in the vegan community;
2. Accepting food made with animal products - refusing meals made by my family would result in severe conflicts, none of which I am ready to face yet;
I would be very grateful for any responses.
Take care!

Re: Hello!
Hi Adloud, welcome!
1. What's done is done; nobody will fault you for buying a dog before you knew better. If you get another dog I would recommend that you adopt your next dog if possible.
2. As long as this isn't a regular thing (e.g. just holidays?) isn't not a big issue. What might work is asking for smaller portions over time. We might be able to give you other tips too, since a lot of us have been through it.
Glad you joined, I hope that helps.

Hey Adloud, welcome to the forums!
Good work on reducing, you gotta start somewhere. Feel free to ask us anything about continuing your vegan journey.

Re: Hello!
Thank you for your replies!
I think I will open more threads about my specific concerns, to keep the forum tidy and because I have quite a lot to say on (and have my mind changed about) certain topics.

Re: Hello!
Welcome Adloud. It seems like you are well on your way to becoming vegan.
Good idea.
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.
