Anyone here watching Ridley Scott's new HBO series Raised by Wolves?
It's by no means a perfect show, but I do appreciate how sci-fi let's us navigate complex philosophical and ethical questions more easily, and although this show is a bit on the nose at times I am quite enjoying it.

I haven't watched TV in years, but this seems interesting. What problems do you find with it?

It's not so subtle at times in its exploration of moral questions. Ex: Being on an alien plant with limited food, one of the child colonists vehemently insists on not killing the local predatory fauna because they want to live too. It was great to see the question of animal sentience being raised, but it handled it a bit ham-fistedly imo. Or maybe I just notice the message more readily?
I'd really suggest giving it a go! It explores many themes (religion, machine sentience, conflict to name a few)

It's really frustrating with TV/movies do that, kind of ruins the experience when they treat an issue like that carelessly or as a strawman.
A few supernatural type movies do that with skepticism and skeptics too.
