I just realized I somehow haven't made an introductory post yet.
Better late than never.
My name doesn't really mean anything.
I would love to eventually have a permanent bumblebee nest in my garden with tall perennial flowers all around it, simply because I love bumblebees.
However, bumblebees relocate every few months, so it doesn't look like I'll be able to achieve this easily.
Then again, I would probably spend too much time staring at them and checking out what they're doing.

As I said, my name really doesn't mean anything. So there would be no way of knowing who I am, even for myself.
Pay attention, kid.

Welcome sir good to meet you.
Do bumblebees necessarily relocate, or is it just to find more flowers because they don't make investments in large hives like bumblebees?

Unfortunately, bumblebee nests die off every few months (sometimes even just a month), the bumblebees' lifespan is short.
The queens go hibernate underground in autumn, when the cycle of the nest is over, and when they emerge in spring, they find a suitable place for the new nest, which is usually somewhere else.
It could be that it uses the same place accidentally, but it's very rare.
The bumblebee queens last around a year, they mate, hibernate, make the new nest and lay eggs, and die off. Then from the new eggs, there's a new generation of queens to repeat the cycle.
I might have to settle for the inferior bees.
Finally, someone with reason.
