Vegan from Norway

Post by AR79 »

Hello, my name is Arild. I think I registered here som years ago, but then I forgot about it. I tend to forget my passwords, it’s so annoying. I live in Oslo, the capital of Norway, in a vegan or veganish collective. I’ve been vegan for almost 20 years I think and somewhat engaged in animal advocacy groups over this time.
I’m interested in philosophy and ethics, particularly related to animals, so I’m looking forward to explore this site. Looks exciting :)

Welcome Arild!

Vegan-ish collective? That sounds interesting. Can you tell anything more about that?

And of course, feel free to jump in any of the threads or start a new one.

Hello AR79! Welcome to the forum.
I've heard Norway has a relatively large vegetarian population. What are the plant-based alternatives like there?

Perhaps in Oslo, but definitely not elsewhere. Veg food is hard to find and very expensive. You will however find a very large variety of dead animals on the menus, sometimes even whales.
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.
