You are also using LaTeX I see? (because of TeXworks icon) Or just TeX? I don't often see people using it, but I think it's pretty amazing stuff. Do you also use it for your presentation slides?
My sister has a publishing business, she uses LaTeX for typesetting books and other documents. I don't personally use it, but have it installed because some time ago my sister was staying with us and her laptop broke. It is amazing, the quality of documents improves greatly and I will be using it in the future for University work.
Fun Fact - TeX was invented by Donald Knuth, when he wasn't satisfied with how his books looked when typesetted using conventional methods. He is considered one of the greatest computer scientist and his multi-volume work "The Art of Computer Programming" is considered the greatest monologue on computer science.

That's right. TAOCP is a masterwork, and beyond my current level of understanding. I'm afraid he will never finish his works before his death though.

Knuth is a by the way a good example of a brilliantly intelligent man that has been trapped into believing religious nonsense.

I'm not a big fan of language-oriented books (at least not for multiple reads, reference or getting a better programmer other than learning a new language). They are outdated pretty easily and it's more important to understand the principles on a more abstract level. As Steve McConnell says in his wonderful book Code Complete: you should learn to program into a language, not program in a language. Of course there are exceptions to this (like The C Programming Language and Effective Java) that stood the test of time and/or differentiated themselves from the rest.

As for the 'God-tier books' section, especially Design Patterns by the gang of four is a must have. Many of the other ones are pretty low-level (compilers, OS, ...), and although those are true classics, I'm not sure I would recommend those to the average programmer.

Messy? Sort of.. Movies, series, screen shots and audio rips from Japanese series (anime & drama) and random crap...
I once had a wallpaper of a big booty woman but(t) removed it out of respect for my partner and women in general.
