When one of my "friends " find out that I don't share the belief of there being a creator, they just Ramble On saying shit like "you're a monster" and other bull blah blah blah. What is weird is that they were a close friend, and now when you figure out that I think that the idea of the supernatural is ridiculous, I am no longer deservant of your friendship? They aren't really my friends then are they?haz this ever happened to you?

Re: no longer my friend because I am an atheist?
I haven't had this happen to me when I was still in middle/high school.
Usually what I would do is become friends with them (like you did) and later on when I feel like we've reached a certain point in a our friendship tell them that I'm an atheist. This usually worked for me and almost always ending up with them saying "We were friends before you told me, so I don't see why we can't be friends now."

What a d*****b**. :/
How close were you guys? That sucks.
This kind of happened to me, but not really.
My friend invited me to this Facebook chat she was in with some of her religious friends (they're all of the same religion), and she brought up religion and my argument with her about it previously. One girl wanted to have a friendly debate with me. There were mainly three people involved, but like one other person occasionally contributed (But she was more arguing about veganism, because I pointed out that it was cruel for God to drown all of the animals in the flood. I would just post a screenshot, but there were other things in between this, and I really don't feel like editing for that long. This is how it went:
Her: "Animals were made so we cud eat them and enjoy them as nature"
Me: "what makes you think that hwa?"
Her: "wat makes me think that
"is because"
"animals"
"dont actually have human intellect"
"sure theyre kinda smar"
"t
"but"
Me: and...?
Her: "when it comes to feelings"
Me: "so what? Not intelligent=worthy of death"
Her: "no"
Me: "?"
Her: "thats not wat im saying"
"here il explain it in different words"
"THE FOOD CHAIN"
"3 words"
"now im done"
"unless she argues more"
Me: "The food chain? .......... Naturalistic fallacy"
"natural doesn't equal ok"
And then she made four short comments to me about religion, but left, and didn't continue talking. So she was kinda sour with me, but I was fine with everyone else at the time.)
So there was my friend, and there were two other people. One had low battery and had to leave (and we're on good terms currently), but the other basically took everything personally (actually, they all did, but I still ended up on good terms with the other two).
So my friend is pretty religious, and she got upset about what I was saying I guess, and the other person (who was nice to me in the beginning of the debate and before it) was like to her (referring to that she had to deal with me),
"I feel bad for u"
Well f*ck you too, asshole.
Anyway, my friend proceeded to remove me from the conversation, and apparently most of people who met me voted to not let me back in.
Two of the people friended me though, so that's cool. I was already friends with another.
But I was on good terms with all of them before this debate. :/

I honestly don't think I could be friends with a serious Christian. Then again, I never meet Christians of my age.
