They differ from all European countries, not just Denmark. Well, England also seems to be on board the political correctness/multiculturalism train, but it's much, much worse in Sweden.

I have noticed this in recent years, but didn't realize Sweden was worst in Europe. I have noticed it in the media but not so much in the way the common (wo)man speaks.

Sweden has also become the country in Europe where most rapes occur.

As always this is hard to judge. Does Sweden have the most rapes or do they have the most reported rapes?

This is not surprising. Calling a white man a "neger kung" (king of negroes) is a bit too much, even by my liberal standards. However, I am strongly against the editing of any piece of literature. The author surely would have been against it, and it is an opportunity to teach children about past bigotry (Sweden was very racist pre 1970).

I don't think "hen" which you refer to will ever replace "hon" or han" (he or she). I believe there are times when it can be useful such as when writing a phrase followed by the word "someone." It can also be useful during recruiting discussions to ensure that there is no gender bias. Some women prefer to only write their first name initial on their CVs, and some American companies ask all job applicants to do so in order to avoid bias.

Those are some strong words although I share some of your concern. I loath people who sugarcoat the truth just to avoid being criticized, and I loath even more those who criticize people for speaking the truth.

The guy in the video probably never fit in to society and generally felt sexually frustrated. A sexually active young man never would have flipped like that. He turned to radical Islam as this gave him some acceptance (and hope of an eternity of sex with 70 virgins). His parents were probably liberal Muslims. However, they are much to blame for his development as they are the ones who planted the seeds.

Fair, I probably shouldn't make any comments on the whole rape thing, as my knowledge on the subject is too cursory and mostly based on anecdotes and correlational evidence.


About "negerkungen"-gate; yeah, I agree it's not an easy issue. Censoring history books and literature feels very orwellian to me, and also seems like a lazy solution. I agree it seems better to educate kids about these things. If we go down the road of censorship, it feels like a slippery slope of silliness. What's next? Rename Snow White? I'd like to know what black people actually think about the issue, as it's always the ultra-progressive left you hear from, since they are loud. obsessed with race and always offended on other people's behalf.


It's very disturbing how even well-educated and (seemingly) well-integrated Muslims suddenly become terrorists. It appears that backup plan of blowing yourself up to get it on with 70 virgins is very attractive to angry, young Muslims. I don't know what the answer is, though I'm more or less certain respecting Islam is not the way to go.

I uncovered another interesting fact that might help explain this. Apparently in Sweden each rape incident is reported as a separate crime. For example, if a priest gets caught after raping a boy every day for a year this would be reported as 365 rapes whereas in most other countries it would be reported as one rape.
