UK Vegan Non Believer

Hello everyone,

I am from a small town in the North of England and was taken to church by my mother as a child.

I think I realised around the age of 10 that it was very unlikely there was a god and that if there was he probably wouldn't care whether people sang songs to him.

I became vegetarian at the age of 13 (probably the only veggie in town) because it was clearly not right to eat other animals. I have been vegan for past few months and will not go back ever.

Why on Earth seemingly intelligent people practice religion and support the murder of other animals is beyond me.
