Regarding Nirmukta it is a feminist safe space and some have been in conflict regarding that and the bans for that matter.

The whole elevatorgate thing was a fiasco. It turned into a witch hunt, and made South Park's commentary on atheism almost prophetic.

It is a teachable moment on how otherwise rational people can become completely divided even when they barely disagree on anything, over semantics.

The problem is much deeper than being a 'safe space' (which any freethought forum can not be by definition). These guys apparently scour facebook pages of their members to admonish them for using 'ablist' language.
