Hello guys, i'm here because i hope we could debate about veganism and atheism, currently i'm vegetarian and i guess i'm spiritual (so yeah for me all religion are bullshit), but i belive in some kind of supernatural.

I hope my english is readable. i'm italian and i hope we could have meaningful discussion in particular about veganism.

Welcome raven!

Do you believe in the truly supernatural (as in, violates the laws of logic and acts by no coherent or sensible rules) or the preternatural (logical and natural phenomenon that science does not understand yet)?

HI Raven
Have you watched any documentaries on meat and dairy from ethics, environment or health angles?
Were you always vegetarian or what made you switch to it if not?

Hi Raven, welcome!

What part of Italy do you live in? I'm Italian too :)
What made you go vegetarian?

If you'd like to have a debate about veganism, I suggest you post a thread here http://philosophicalvegan.com/viewforum.php?f=22
Feel free to ask any questions you have - or just ask why vegan instead of vegetarian.

If you're curious, there are already a few threads tackling and debating the subject, like
http://theveganatheist.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=22&t=79
http://theveganatheist.com/forum/viewto ... f=22&t=146

For evil to prevail, good people must stand aside and do nothing.

thx for the quickly response,
@ brimstonesalad i don't know in which category my belive are, for example i belive in karma even if i'm not a buddhist, and at the same time i belive in science because is the more logical thing to do.
@garrethdsouza i'm full vegetarian from a couple of weeks, but i'm always been i ligth meat eater ( no red meal, rarely white meals and twice a week some fish), my reason are mostly for ethics and health.
@ thebestofenergy i'm from Piedmont , at the moment i'm happy as vegetarian but in due time i hope i could go vegan.

Can you explain what 'karma' means to you?

Because in the Vedic sense it's tied to reincarnation, and defines whether you're born as a 'higher' or 'lower' being, and embodies the notion that poor people or people who have bad things happen to them thoroughly deserve all of the evil that befalls them due to their own evil deeds in a past life.

Or in the more modern New-age Western sense, it means "what goes around comes around", or the sense that there's some kind of cosmic balance within the span of a single life.

Why do you believe that?

Maybe you should create a topic about it.
