Detector in tact. To me it was just a bit of a coincidence reading the same word combination within a short time period.

I've definitely seen the claim often, but usually coming from diehard carnists trying to malign animal advocacy. It's definitely a common stereotype, but one that I've never seen to be true.
Now there are some people who just hate humans, but I think that's rather something different. Like the OOS crowd. That's real, and perhaps more disturbing.

Well, Gary Yourofsky, for one, a hard core vegan advocate claims himself to be a misanthrope. Many vegans in YouTube have said how much they hated humans. That carnists deserve to die. That they would save animals instead of humans. I haven't seen many vegans sending an opposite message to that. On the contrary, those that tend to be more "hippie" (for the lack of a better word) end up saying things like, although they don't agree with those extremists views, people have to understand vegan hatred to this carnist humanity. Perhaps I am listening the wrong channel.

or just the only one there is... because I keep trying to find new ones, and they just aren't there... That's why I do not use the word ethic in regards to veganism.

Where are you looking?
Are you using "channels" literally or figuratively?
Have you read the thread on Francione and Deontology?

well, that is why I joined this group, to see if there was another view on veganism rather than the one spread by the vegan community/propaganda... I am on Reading the thread... though it is quite long...

Well, here's at least one youtube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/user/FitOnRaw
There are several others, but I'm not very hip to the youtube thing yet. Working on it.
In terms of mainstream philosophers, you may have heard of Peter Singer: he recognizes that on average humans are more important than non-human animals. He's a consequentialist, rather than a deontologist.
Unfortunately, the very loud voice of deontology tends to dominate a lot of the vegan advocacy, and the fact that those irrational views are often simpler catchy phrases.
