Right, but on the spot it's like when O'Reilly said "Tide comes in, tide goes out, never a miscommunication: You can't explain that." and Silverman kind of stumbled to find a response because he was so dumbfounded by the idiocy he just heard.

I don't know if you've been in these situations, but these things happen and it's like a divide by zero error, your brain has to reboot to comprehend the sheer magnitude of wrong in what you just heard.

Maybe we should write an open letter to him?

Most countries, for better of worse, have modeled their criminal law system of the U.S., which is in part modeled on British common law before that.
