I think most of us can still agree with that. And personally, I have no trouble with it (although he's mostly just being nice towards me), but apparently some people do. But it's great to thank him for his contribution as well.

I'm still a forum newbie, but it's quite easy to see that this is a nice community with nice people who are willing to engage in constructive and serious debates. But like on most forums, before you know it, you are trolling, and before you realise it, you are feeding one:

In this context I think it is.

"Master of the forum" pretty just means "Someone who controls the forum". That can be a female.

I agree on this. I have been following this forum for a long time (even before I joined) and have been consistently impressed by Brimstonesalad's knowledge on a vast variety of topics. She does a great job of educating others who are ignorant and/or hold misconceptions. She has demonstrated herself to care deeply about logic and intellectual honesty; and does a great job of supporting her claims.

Brimstonesalad, I too would like to do my part in thanking you for everything that you do on the forum. I aspire to be a well-educated and honest person, and hope that one day I can be as well-informed and rational as you have demonstrated yourself to be.

I'll admit that I especially enjoyed the conversations I've had with you about ethics (the different types, which is most rational and why). I feel I've had a pretty good understanding of my own morality, but I didn't know how to label it. For now I'd call myself a utilitarian consequentialist, but I'm of course open to new perspectives.

Jebus brings up a good point that too few of us are active. I realize that I haven't been active on the forum and I hope to participate more in the future (though part of this is due to me being stuck in a dessert for the past 3 weeks without internet access). Fortunately though I've noticed that many new forum members have appeared since the Matt Dillahunty videos, and I've seen them offer fascinating information and insights.

Same here. I haven't been bothered by Brimstonesalad's style of speaking. I'm far more bothered by willful ignorance and intellectual dishonesty (which she hasn't demonstrated) than harsh words (which she occasionally displays). I'm not easily offended; I think it's rather silly how some people get so worked up about it. "{GASP}! Brimstonesalad said something mean! I'm so offended!"

Maybe so, but I don't want to make assumptions about an anonymous person's gender. Henceforth I will refer to Brimstonesalad as "she" simply for the sake of variety.

I'd like to formally thank brimstoneSalad for his contribution to the forum. Her responses are always coherent and well thought out. I hope that someday I can be as rational and consistent as he is. Anyways, thank you brimstoneSalad, you are awesome!
