Did you even read what I've said?
Yes.
I'm obviously not obligated to give stupid opinions respect. You contradict yourself in this statement.
You are not obligated. I never said that. But if you want to change one's opinion, you better give it.

With how many people have you debated? How many minds have you changed?
Psychology doesn't work this way. It's not the same thing for everyone.
Some react better when you're being polite and nice, some other are going to have a better chance at changing with mockery.
Some people don't care about rational arguments, some people are so full of pride they're not willing to listen to your points. If you take their pride down, then you might have a chance.
If you take their pride down, they will be pissed. They won't give a shit about whatever you say. They won't have their mind opened after you insult and bring them down.

I didn't say 'bring their morale down'. I said their pride.
To have an argument, and be open minded, you must not have pride.
They'll not be pissed if I take their pride down... what? Why would they be?
Like I said, psychology doesn't work the same way for everyone. It's preferable to be nice, but sometimes other ways work better. It's a fact.
Your argument is an image? An image?
You know, there are upvoted tweets of religious things too.

Well, it's kinda hard to take down someone's pride, especially since you are much more likely to anger someone. Being nice is just the best and safest way to talk to someone. It's also easier to take down someone's pride by being nice.

That was just summarizing my argument.

What are you asserting?
Are you saying that mockery is never the best way, or that not mocking is the best way most of the times?
If the latter, I agree with you.

Depends who you're trying to influence. If the target of your mockery, it probably isn't the best way.

But, if it's other people whom your target is trying to impress, then mockery can be very effective.

I'm gonna be honest, I didn't really understand what you are trying to say, can you please give me an example?

Then you don't know much about neuroscience and how the human mind works.
Peer pressure can be way more effective sometimes.

Peer presure won't make someone open minded.

Dudugs wrote:Vegans objective is to try and convince other people to be vegans, to reduce animal suffering right? Because if you wanan convince someone, you need to respect their opinion and be friendly, instead of calling them murderous assholes and nihilists. That's just gonna make someone more hostile against you and more sure of his own beliefs.

Seems like every time you make a post you are expressing in your opinion on how 'vegans' should not express their own personalopinions.
Who is mocking, who is hostile and who are your peers pressuring you care about your health and the health of other animals?
Please, tell me why do you eat animals?

Seems like you have a lot of pre conceived ideas/ views on vegans, I am hear to tell you that you have an extremely bias point of view on vegans, you seem to forget that 'vegans' are not a people in a whole, each vegan is an individual, get it? We're not all the same, but it seems that your opinion on us is that we are 'all the same'.
Don't be a waste of molecules
