^Ah, yeah, it happened to me as well.

Hm...
I really like that there are notifications when people post etc., and that you can modify them.
And you don't need to refresh the screen for the notifications; they just pop up!

I also like the text-box of this format, and how it opens up when I type so that I can see everything, and I don't have to scroll.

I think I like this one better. The only tiny issue I have with this one is that instead of 'The Vegan Atheist Forum' at the top, it says 'phpBB', but I don't really care about that.

Also there's the organization of the members (I liked it better by amount of posts), but the notifications outweigh that for me. I remember there was a notification thing before, but it never notified me of anything... Maybe it has the same abilities, but I just didn't activate them...

I also liked the quotes better how they were before, in the boxes, but that's also minor.

So, I vote to keep the new layout, at least for now.

There are a few minor problems that I will be working on resolving.

All of these problems should be sorted out within a few days.

EDIT:
Any problems that you have PM them to me.

Wait...There are notifications? I knew I was oblivious, but I didn't know I was this oblivious... Would you mind posting a screenshot?

The way the default notifications are setup, you'll only get a message if, someone quotes you in a post, PMs you, or replies to a post that you bookmarked.

You can change these setting my click the little bell in the top right corner.

That's excellent news! Really shows companies are responding to the vegan market.

Thanks for the update.

That's awesome. My local supermarket (Jumbo) has been steadily adding mockmeats to their shelves, and today I noticed the first vegan mockmeat that was not falafel! Quite expensive, but they added these vegan spicy sausages. They were too hot for me, but it's awesome they're adding vegan options. How I look forward to being able to have a vegan hotdog.

P.S. I like the new forum, and it looks gorgeous on my new laptop. I am missing the "view active topics" button though.

Edit: not sure if this is worth a whole topic. How do you guys deal with it when someone you don't know well yet asks you out for dinner to a non-vegan restaurant? My class is organizing a class dinner, and I fear there will be no vegan options. I don't want to decline, because I really like these people. I also don't want to scare them off by dropping the Vegan bomb (it's quite unheard of here).

Try clicking the three lines (see attachment)?

Call in advance?

I think it's worthy of its own topic. Future vegans might not read all of this thread, because it's just random discussion, and it's much more likely that they'd read a topic specifically about that to find the solution.

Call ahead to the restaurant, and they should be able to prepare something for you if they have notice.
