Oh, well this is certainly interesting, it looks like the republicans weren't just talk when it comes to the affordable healthcare act.

So today I decided to find other forums to join to see what it was like. The forum that caught my interest was a political debate forum. But after joining it, and making a few posts, I find it to be a very lackluster experience. The main gripe I have is that most topics start off as they were intended to, but the members quickly get off track and just start spewing opposite opinions on something that is only loosely connected to what the topic was about. And before I continue, let me ask something, have any of you ever called someone an idiot on this forum? If yes, you would be hit with a warning on the the forum that I'm talking about. Details aside, I explained why I thought the member was an idiot in the post, yet I was still hit with a warning. All in all, it was a major let down. Why am I posting this? Well, this experience has made me appreciate this forum much more than I already did. So that's a plus. Well, there's my ramble.

Most forums are either draconian, policing every little thing, particularly on how people say things, or complete anarchy allowing people to spew nonsense and ignore arguments.

I hope this forum strikes a good compromise, letting people make personal attacks, as long as they respond to an argument.

I have both called and been called an idiot, always without repercussions.

I think we have a very good balance. The only other "forum" I visit is the vegan atheists Facebook page and they are a bit extreme. They don't allow any anti-Islamic remarks as they are scared of being shut down by Facebook. Also, one poster got a warning for using the word "retarded". He wasn't calling anyone retarded, but was referring to an idea as being retarded. Some members got very upset, one writing that her mentally challenged sister would start crying every time she heard that word.
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.
