That makes sense. I agree that a big reveal might not be helpful and may undo any good done.
If he doesn't do a reveal, it's possible that he could plant some seeds if he doesn't push too hard, then just kind of leave those seeds there to germinate.

I would say, as long as he doesn't lie, and plants some seeds that get people thinking, it may be worth it. It's very hard to know.
Like I said before, even just the fact of Nazis advocating veganism may be harmful to public perception (more so than the good they could do by not eating meat). BUT, it could also be opening them up to morality, and they might realize humans are animals too, eventually.

No way to really know how it will turn out.

It might be hard to get positive results, but anything you do must be better than not doing anything. I fail to see how infiltrating their forum can be harmful to veganism or beneficial to racism.

What aspects of it would yield productive results? Maybe I've forgotten my Neo-Nazi ideology, but I'd imagine you wouldn't be taken as seriously as a fully Aryan member of the forum?

In regard to racism:

It increases their forum activity.
Gives them more revenue.
Raises their search engine results.

In regard to veganism:

Increasing the prevalence of the topic among neo-nazis could also be harmful if that becomes better known, and if non-vegans learn about it being popular among nazis.

If you fix their racism at the same time, it's probably a win-win (although would probably also get you banned). But if you only convince them to go vegan while still being nazis... it could just give carnists another "excuse", along with the absurd "Hitler was vegetarian" argument.

I'm not saying that will be the result, I don't know what the result would be, but it's a possibility as far as the data we have now (which is pretty minimal) would suggest.

That said, one of the great benefits of doing this would be to gather information, and get more of an insight into the minds of racists. It could have educational/research value.
