Er... You know what actually doesn't make you 'appear smart'?
Spewing a bunch of evil bullshit and then not addressing other peoples' responding points.
You completely ignored everything that I wrote.

And you know what really doesn't make you appear consistent?
Calling other people selfish for doing something that may sometimes be mildly selfish, while simultaneously torturing and killing animals for personal pleasure.

...And you know what really doesn't make you look like a good person?
Encouraging people to kill themselves (ironically while telling them it's selfish and will hurt other people, proving that you don't actually care about those people yourself, and that you're just a liar and a dick).

Seriously, WTF?

It reminds me of this Bill Maher joke:
Bill Maher wrote:Trump’s answer? ‘I don’t have time for political correctness.’ He’s like one of those construction workers from the ‘70s who goes, ‘Nice tits. Oh, what? I can’t compliment a lady anymore?’ It’s crazy.”

Why do you always go back to killing animals... Your defense to every situation is... blah blah blah killing animals blah blah blah.... I am not being selfish. I am being honest. Suicide is selfish and I don't condone it. If you disagree then you are the coward. No matter what excuse you have to make it an acceptable situation, suicide is still cowardly. Always. I've dealt with abuse and depression beyond what you could ever imagine. Never once did I ever consider killing myself. I value myself over all others. My success and happiness makes my abusers life even more miserable, because they couldn't oppress me.

Tho I don't condone suicide, I also don't have any remorse for those who are suicidal.

The first person I dealt with tried to blackmail me. My choice was stay in an abusive situation, or they would kill themself. I left anyways... They never committed suicide. They used the threat of suicide as a tool.

The second person I dealt with over suicide was making threats of suicide over the internet... I contacted their local police and they rushed to her home and got her parents involved... Long story short, she was doing it for attention, and got in serious trouble with her parents. She never apologized or thanked me.

@RedAppleGP
Really... If you can't read English then leave.

She claimed I was being selfish, with no proof. Other than saying I kill animals.

Which is completely off topic.

If there is something I missed, sorry not sorry.

If you want something addressed, then ask it in question form. Otherwise I can't decode her "claims" you are referring to.

...It's not my 'defense' for anything; it's just me pointing out your total hypocrisy.
Until you stop torturing and killing animals, you are a hypocrite for calling all suicidal people selfish.

Not to mention that you're completely factually wrong. Thoughts don't make you selfish; actions do.
Suicide might sometimes be selfish, but suicidal people haven't committed suicide. You can't condemn people for actions they haven't taken.
As to those who have unfortunately gone through with it (or tried to), one action does not define you as a person.

You still haven't addressed this point that I brought up multiple posts ago.

It's like when Donald Trump is called a 'truth teller'.
You might think you're being honest about some things, but you're so far off it's crazy.

But you are lying. You don't give a shit about the families of suicide victims. If you did, then you wouldn't encourage suicide.
If you really cared, you would encourage suicidal people to seek treatment, not tell them to go through with suicide.
Asshole wrote:Suicide is selfish and I don't condone it. If you disagree then you are the coward.
 What?

I agree that suicide is sometimes selfish (doesn't make suicidal people selfish). How does that have anything to do with cowardice?
Asshole wrote:No matter what excuse you have to make it an acceptable situation, suicide is still cowardly.
No action is always cowardly or brave. People might sacrifice their lives to save others, and obviously that's brave.

In this context, it might usually be cowardly, but that's not relevant.

What's your point?

Humanely killing animals for consumption is not selfish. Raising animals for consumption is not torture. The animals know no other way of life, so how would they know what they are missing? They depend on the farmer to provide feed and shelter... Which in turn, they provide for us at the end of their life. Torture would be to take a creature that was once free, then pin it up and abuse it. That is not the case. The animals are born into the care of the farmer, which offers medicine, food, shelter.

And thanks for referring to me as "Asshole"

I now understand the maturity and mentality of who I'm dealing with.

Makes sense to me why you are so stubborn.

Pretty much the definition of selfish, particularly when you qualify it as valuing your pleasure above the lives of others too.

It always baffles me when meat-eaters talk about 'humanely' killing animals who don't want to die.
What do you mean, humanely? Painlessly? It's not near painless if you're buying meat from factory farms, but even if it was, it's absurd to call it humane.

You can't humanely steal the lives of those who don't want to die.
Amazing how you'll condemn suicidal people as selfish merely for considering taking their own lives, and meanwhile you're taking the lives of others who want to live.

Asshole wrote:The animals know no other way of life, so how would they know what they are missing?
Typical absurd meat-eater arguments...

That's just as ridiculous as, "Slaves don't know freedom, so who gives a shit?"
They don't need to 'know what they're missing'. That's completely irrelevant.
Asshole wrote:They depend on the farmer to provide feed and shelter
You say this like the farmers are generous or something. That's like saying, "Your parents might beat you everyday, but they provide you with food and shelter, so don't complain."

The farmers aren't giving the animals food and shelter out of the goodness of their hearts. They're doing it to make money.

Also, the animals don't need 'shelter'. Cows would be perfectly fine outside.
And they can just graze on grass. The farmers aren't doing anything special by giving them food.
Asshole wrote:Which in turn, they provide for us at the end of their life.
 Provide for you? They're not 'providing' for you at the 'end of their lives' (really?); you're prematurely stealing their lives, literally killing them, against their wills.
Asshole wrote:Torture would be to take a creature that was once free, then pin it up and abuse it. That is not the case. The animals are born into the care of the farmer, which offers medicine, food, shelter.
The care of the farmer?
Yeah, they really care for those animals...
http://www.peta.org/videos/factory-farm ... onds-flat/

It doesn't matter if an animal was once free or not. Torturing an animal that animal's entire life doesn't justify it. That's absurd.

 What?

You're saying that I'm immature because I called you an asshole, after you called me a coward because I disagreed with you about a point, and after you called all suicidal people cowards?
So it's ok when you call other people nasty things on no logical basis, but when other people do it to you as a result, those people are immature? :?

I just responded to the other guy a few times first because it's really quick and simple.
