Re-Writing The Bible into MODERN English

Post by KevinJackalJohnston »

Hello all, I have re-written 100 Bible passages into modern English so that we can all know how disgusting a book it really is! There's profanity in them, would you like them posted here?

Hi Kevin, are you a linguist, and fluent in Biblical Aramaic, Hebrew, and Koine Greek?
That's pretty cool if you are.

If not, I'm not sure of what the utility of an English to English translation would be.

This thread is an example of the common occurrence of a new forum member who makes one post, doesn't like the response he gets, and never posts again.
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.

Hahaha, really? I don't know. If his claim is true then he might stick around to show us his work, but I'm not holding my breath.

Actually I noticed just now that Kevin's post was from over a month ago, so I highly doubt seeing him again.

Yeah, I don't know what that was about. If he's just re-interpreted the old English translations based on his own bias, I don't see the point.

I think he was just posting for permission to spam his website link. Which is at least better than just spamming it without permission.

I don't think he ever had any intention to join in the discussion here.
