Ah, a fragment taken from the dutch Metropolis. Great program. Pretty funny that the people here in the Netherlands also don't recognize the cacao pods (video).

This is a very interesting video which explains why it is hard to change someone's belief system. It also touches on morality and vegetarianism. I recommend it!

Abortion Debate at Texas Freethought Convention, Matt Dillahunty vs. Kristine Kruszelnicki
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P78_V1Z9CO4

Just astonished how enormously speciesist Kristine Kruszelnicki's case is. The confusion in this debate on personhood is just sad (even Dillahunty doesn't seem to fully understand the difference between a human and a person). What surprised me is that Dillahunty doesn't really argue from morality, just from legal status. If he had done that, he could have presented a better case in my opinion. I didn't hear once the term sentience, which stands central to this issue from my perspective. But I'm happy to see Dillahunty recognizing that adult humans and children are different from embryos and should be treated as such.
