Hello, my name is Ted, I'm 17 years old and I live in France (I'm french and american).
I became vegan a couple months ago, did (and still do) lots of research, and I get this annoying feeling that I have to speak out and share with others, but at the same time, people don't really listen, so I guess it might be different here, if I meet people who actually come here to talk about that?
And from a religious point of view, I'm an atheist. I live with my parents who both are christians, and I always knew I was not a christian (for lots of things it implied that I thought were really dumb), but I never really thought about it any further, until I watched the Stupid Christians Comments of TheVeganAtheist's channel (I found those while I was searching about vegans actually) and began to think about the issue a lot more, although most of the people around me aren't religious.
So that's it, if you did not read you just have to know that I'm a vegan and an atheist ^^
And I never know how to introduce myself, so if you ever want to know anything, just ask

Hello Hummingbird, welcome to the forum. I hope you will see that this forum is full of open minded-people who would be happy to listen to you, think about any questions you have for us, and provide thoughtful responses.
What convinced you to go vegan? Is there anything about being vegan that you need help with?
How do your parents feel about you being an atheist?

Re: Hi there o/
Thank you!
Well two years ago, I tried to be vegetarian, but it didn't really stick more than a week, because I actually had no reason to do so (I didn't do any research or anything, I can't even remember why I tried), but during the last vacations, I simply read a book about ethics and animals, and it kind of opened my eyes on the cruelty, environment, etc. So I watched earthlings, read more books, studies, etc, and decided the taste was not worth the lives.
My parents do not really care, as I didn't even really ever tell them I was an atheist. Actually we used to go to the church every Sunday when I was younger, and my sister and I complained a lot about it, since it was very boring and all, so we went less frequently, to the point where my father is the only person in the family who goes, sometimes. So if they ever ask me I'll tell them, but my sister told them she didn't believe in God and they didn't really care that much, so I'm guessing they'd be okay with it
