Communism V.S. Capitalism

yeah it's one of those kinds of topics again.
So, which system are do you advocate, communism or capitalism? I prefer socialism, but that's just me. I do advocate most principles of communism, but some I disagree with. Basically, I don't agree with the way Stalin went with communism. Communism and socialism are almost the same things anyways. But I prefer socialism because of basic necessities/fairness for the society within the social hiearchy. Communism was given a bad name during the cold war, what with all the false propganda, but you know what they say, better red than dead. Capitalism I'm not a fan of. My grandfather was a capitalist until he retired, and while he did make a shit load of money, I don't advocate it simply because the bosses get all the money, while the workers get scruples of the profit (at least in most industries).

so yeah that's my rambling, it's yout turn.

I also prefer socialism, though a more accurate term would be democratic socialism. The main difference between socialism and communism is that communist, at least the communism that Marx envisioned, would abolish proletariat property. What I mean by that is that property would not be privately owned, it would instead be used to generate capital. Unless of course I am hopelessly wrong, the possibility of which is incredibly high.

Follow-up question; do you guys perceive this to be a spectrum, with socialism being a middle ground between communism and capitalism, or just three different things?

You could, although I see socialism leaning more towards communism more than capitalism. Like I said, both share a lot of the same principles at least compared to capitalism.
