Hello there. I'm a twenty something Icelander, formerly a Lutheran Christian, Atheist from the age of 14-15. I have been struggling with the ethics of eating meat for some time now but am leaning towards vegan-ism or at least vegetarianism being the most morally defensible position. I haven't yet been able to make the change but I'm trying and I think that this sort of social network can help me tip the scales in my life. Oh, and you can call me Haukur.

Welcome Hakur. How did you realized there was no god(s)?

Can't say I had a real aha-moment. But around the time I was being confirmed into the Church I thought a lot about these issues. I read some bible and found it above everything else boring and confusing. It didn't seem likely that the creator of the universe had anything to do with it. Prayers didn't seem to do any good either. Non of it really made much sense at that point.

Hi Haukur, it's great that you're working on cutting out meat. Have you had any progress since your intro, or setbacks?
