Racist family members.
So, I have noticed for the past four to five months now, that my parents ( Especially my father.) are blatantly racist. I first noticed this when my parents sent me to pick up food awhile ago, when my father said " Stay away from black people." And just yesterday when we went to my brothers apartment to celebrate his birthday, he remarked that " This complex is certainty colored, we didn't notice that before. I have never heard him say these things before this year, which is why it caught me off guard, it's gotten me thinking if he was always this way, or if it's just a recent development. But that's my rant on this, comment if you like.

Blegh.
I've been having a similar experience with my mom, but she's not as blatantly racist.
She was talking to my dad, complaining about how illegal immigrants are accepted into colleges, when 'white American' citizens (though she'd probably say she supports all citizens born here being equal if you questioned her, but it's telling that she said 'white American') could have been accepted instead. I interjected, and she said that people not born in this country should not be taken into colleges over people born here (regardless of whether or not they are citizens).
She said that she just said that because I got her fired up (please), and that she doesn't care if you're born here, just if you're a citizen.
Mhm.
Before she just did things like support Donald Trump, saying he's just against illegal immigrants (right), and viciously hated Obama. She also questioned Obama's place of birth, said Obama's anti-white, etc..
Even though my dad questions Obama's place of birth also (etc.), I don't think he's a racist. He doesn't say crazy things like that. I think he is just largely politically influenced by my mom. My dad actually has some nice things to say about Bernie Sanders! And some not so nice things, but... baby steps. ;D

My parents aren't racist, but I do have a grandfather who is a pseudo-white supremacist (according to my grandmother). By which I mean, he is a white supremacist, but married to a Mexican woman, never says anything racist (at least when I am around), and doesn't treat others different based on their race (at least when I am around).

I don't see "Stay away from black people" as necessarily being racist. I'd ask him what exactly he meant and why he said it.
His reason for saying it could be either sane or stupid
Consider
"Because black people commit 50%+ of all murders even though make up 13% of the population. Compared to other ethnic groups, they have the most dangerous criminals by far, so on your way to pick up the food you should steer clear of groups of young black men to be safe."
versus
"Because black people are an inferior race. I don't want you to mingle with our slaves... WHITE POWERRRR!!!!1"
