I used to read allot when I was younger but I've kind of just stopped for whatever reason. I want to get back to the habit of reading because I really enjoy it, so I was wondering if you guys had any favourite books you could recommend. I don't have any specific genre I stick to, but I don't like romantic or dramatic books.

Well, I have a book that I'm reading called "The outer limits of reason." It's a book about everything that we could not possibly know. It delves into philosophy, Science, Mathematics, and their limits. I haven't finished it, but it's interesting so far. Oh, the authors name is Noson S. Yanofsky.

I love the books written by Aaron Caroll debunking many medical myths, but there are a ton that I like, such as What A Plant Feels, which is a book about the senses of plants.

I also like Freedom Feminism, The Male Brain, Thug Kitchen, and How To Be Black (You need comedy in there somewhere)

I enjoy fantasy books quite a bit. I especially like them when they have interesting and unique magic systems. The Mistborn and The Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson are quite good in that area, and so is The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. The Stormlight Archive also has probably my favorite atheist character in fiction. (which is strange coming from a mormon author)

I am currently listening to Why Nations Fail, a book that does a great job at explaining world wide inequality. It really is fascinating.
I also really enjoyed listening to the Martian, it has awesome narration and an awesome nerdy story.
"Our Final Invention" is a great book on the dangers of artificial intelligence, another fascinating subject.

I highly recommend checking out Bill Gates' bookshelf, it's an awesome collection of (mostly) non-fiction books.

We just finished reading 'The Lord of the Flies' in English class, and it was really amazing.
