The guy who called for a halt to all Muslims entering the United States, mass deportation, called for a boycott to Starbucks for its holiday cups, said that the United States is the only country 'stupid enough' to have birthright citizenship (specifying that Mexico doesn't, even though it does), constantly attacks other candidates over superficial reasons, denies it, makes insane propaganda adds, makes up lies about illegal immigrants, had a spokeswoman on CNN who said, "So what, they're Muslim" etc. etc. is in the lead by a (h)UUUGE margin in the latest GOP national poll.

41%... oh my god.Politico wrote:According to the results of the latest Monmouth University poll surveying voters identifying as Republican or independents leaning toward the GOP, Trump earned 41 percent, nearly tripling the support of his closest rival, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who took 14 percent.

I can't believe it's that high. Wow, it seems like Donald Trump actually has a real chance of being the next POTUS.

I was actually kind of rooting for him to be the republican nominee in the beginning, because I thought he was too crazy for America to vote him in. So therefore, if it was Bernie vs. Trump, Bernie would almost certainly win.
But apparently I underestimated how many lunatics there are in this country.

So, what do you guys think about these new polls? Sorry about the broad range in percentages, but there's only a certain number of poll options there can be.
I voted 2a and 2c.
Based on the polls now, and the polls we've been having for months, Donald Trump is the front-runner in the republican party. The more crazy shit he says, the more his poll numbers go up. His craziness seems to reside with nearly half of republicans, and even a lot of independents. So, unfortunately, I think he'll most likely be the republican nominee.
In the Presidential election, I think he'd most likely lose by a tiny amount. According to the most recent polls, both Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton would beat Trump in the Presidential election.
