Boredom of Atheism and Veganism

Disclaimer: This post kinda sort of goes off topic, which wasn't my original intention. But this is my topic, my post, my catharsis. I hope none of you, have a problem, with that.


So as you all know, I am a member of TheVeganAtheist forum. Of course, I joined for mainly the atheism part, and a little for the veganism. Oh boy I was quite the implacable one, especially when it came to atheism, but that's another story for another time. Anyway, I got quite tiresome of debating both veganism and atheism. Maybe I just grew up and wasn't so angry and militant, or I am just legitimately bored of it. To be fair, it could easily be both. I mean, I'm part of the TheVeganAtheist forum, so why do I partake in off topic discussions most of the time? Why don't I just go to another forum? Eh see here's where things get a little tricky. From what I can tell, I've established strong relationships, and made pretty good internet friends and family on this here forum, and it's good to see that I agree with most of the people that reside here. I personally like small communities that aren't implacable as some other forum communities out there, and most other forums consist of brain-dead jackasses who have no idea what they're talking about. Anyway, I just got bored of discussing religion and vegansim, or anything political for that matter. I'm not really on the "politically correct" side of the spectrum, if you know what I'm saying. I mean, I do retain my moral philosophies, but I don't forcefully force them upon people, ya' catch my drift? I don't find any interest in debating politics, government, gun control, abortion, or anything in current events. Yeah, call me a hipster, but I'm not a hipster for the reasons why most hipsters are hipsters. I'm a "hipster" because anything "mainstream" bores me, y'know? Not because I want attention or wanting to be different. And speaking of which, I don't really find interest in current-recreation pass times. I hardly watch any movies, I don't play on my video game consoles (until Kingdom Hearts 3 and Mafia 3 come out). Half of my free time is spent masturbating, playing video games, and internet. Sure, I do donate a bit of money to various charities and drives, but for the most part, I'm not that useful to society. Well, at least I'm honest to myself about it. Anyway, I'm also one of the most introverted/extroverted people I know. At school, I am energetic, have no shame whatsoever, and more outgoing than most of the other kids in my grade, and got tons of friends to boot. However, when I get home, the last thing I wanna do is be in the presence of friends. When I get home, it's me time. I'd honestly much rather play a game by myself than play with another person, unless the game is online. Don't get me wrong, I do like people, but in the George Carlin kinda way, as in I like people in varying bits and wavelengths. I mean, I'll hang out with some friends, but I'll do it reluctantly, so I'll be like "Yeah I'll go to that restaurant with you guys but fuck you!.", y'know what I am spraying? Now don't get the wrong idea into thinking that I'm fishing for empathy, because honestly, that's the last thing I'd wanna do. And no, I do not have depression or bipolar disorder or anything like that. I didn't intend for this to get so personal, but in a way that's a good thing I guess. Anywho, there are a few things that I left out that I don't quite remember right now, so I'll post an addendum in the future. Anyway, sorry for this rambling, but hey, in the wise words of the great Louis Leakey:

Well... Ok, so you're not really interested in discussion veganism/atheism/politics. I think that you should still vote when you can even though you're not very interested in politics, but I couldn't seem to convince you of even that, so I don't know what else to say...
I really don't understand how these topics bore you, but I guess everyone has their own tastes.

Honestly, I really don't know it changes all the time. I mean, I do have some interests, but they're usually stuff that I only care about, which is fine.

I guess just because they are just so interesting to me. I don't see how they couldn't be, but to each their own.

It's very normal to lose interest in a subject, to have them chaning all the time. When I was in high school, for the first years nothing seemed more important than fixing the education system. Then, I watched Forks over Knives and suddenly education didn't seem that important anymore. Nowadays, I am mainly concerned with ethics, sustainability and failed countries.

Once you understand a subject very well, you get bored of it an move on. I've had all the discussions about veganism by now, and am not going to learn much more debating random meat eaters on this forum. I guess you are in the same situation. There's no reason to feel bad about it, just hang around, maybe check the forums a bit less often, and start threads about what does interest you.
