General philosophy message board for Discussion and debate on other philosophical issues not directly related to veganism. Metaphysics, religion, theist vs. atheist debates, politics, general science discussion, etc.
This thread is not meant for too much serious discussion. Just for a bit of fun imaging things. Just imagine for a second it happens as I describe.
Let's say you have an accident or a (short or long) sickbed, and at some point you realize you have died. You may overhear a conversation between your loved ones that implies you have died, or you notice everything and everybody looks a bit different, you feel different, and you can think/desire your way from place to place. I.e. once a thought comes up: "I wonder how Bob is doing?" you are instantly transported to where Bob is and you can see what he is doing and sense his feelings and thoughts. You have an inkling there is another dimension where you have your own place, house, but you're not obliged to go there.
What would you do in this situation? What would be your desires? Would you stay on earth, look at naked people, go to a casino? Conduct experiments? Conjure up alternative explanations? Would it have implications for your view on the existence of (a) G/god? Would you investigate the alternate dimension where you have during your life constructed a house for yourself?

I'd try to determine if I could interact with the outside world in any meaningful way. If I could interact with it, I'd try to use my influence to further veganism (spooky leafleting ghost?) and other moral goods. If I couldn't interact with the world, I'd probably read this forum, go look for a human-like alien species, and observe them. After I inevitably get bored and lonely, I'll look for a way to kill myself and see myself out.

No, it wouldn't. Afterlife doesn't logically imply God.

A bit of both. I wouldn't want to live forever without being able to interact with anything. It would be a lonely hell. Would you want to live forever in this state?
I'd investigate what are the limits of my "powers" and see if i can somehow affect the course of history. I would also visit my family from time to time and my girlfriends house when she's alone, only... for research purposes obviously... hehe.
I'd also go to that alternate dimension and if there was a god there, i'd tell him he sucks at his job xD

I'm not sure. I think it's probably one of those situations you have to be in to know how you'd react.
I would have to search every single room of the Pentagon, the Vatican, Area 51 (and 1-50 time permitting), and any other "secret" storage place. Then naked people. Maybe. (probably)
I would be worried. The idea of not being able to die is pretty scary.
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.
