Women forced to give birth by patriarchy: What does it mean?

Post by Mateo3112 »

Just yesterday i read a comment from a feminist saying that women were forced to give birth by the patriarchy, just what does that mean? Is it some kind of metaphor or is it meant to be taken literally?

There are still plenty of patriarchal societies left where women are forced to give birth. She could be talking about those, but it's more likely she's another delusional gender studies major who thinks "patriarchy" accurately describes the West

Well, it is true that women are pressured into having children. I'm not sure what she means by patriarchy.
