Hello! I am a 31 year old mother of 4, married and 2 months a vegan. I have tried man times over my life to be vegetarian completely plant based only to be thwarted by my mother or my surroundings. I was a student at Kansas State University in 2003 and in 2005 assisted in their FDA slaughter house on Campus and ever since then with on and off results. I married my husband in 2007 right before he deployed for 15 months, Thanks Bush, to Afghanistan. I have 4 kids age 14, 8, 5, and 2. I am the only Vegan currently but my kids are VERY open to it and dabble back and forth. I have been very honest with them on why and my whole family is a work in progress. Super excited to find these boards. Some of my best friends came from different interest boards over my life. Nice to meet you all!!

Your story is a great example of trying again until you succeed; it's inspiring that you never gave up.

It's great that your kids are open minded. Is your husband at home, and how does he feel about veganism? I guess you're learning and introducing them all to some great plant based meals to show them vegan can be delicious?
