Which operating system do you mainly use?

Post by Cloppy »

I use mainly Linux for 2 or 3 years now. I use it because I can customize, modify and make it work the way I want it to work. As for the software there are many free and open source alternatives that I use and they can get the job done. There are also many other reason why I use Linux like you update when you want to and not forced to do it, it's fast, there are many distribution for different type of user, you can get a distribution without a lot of preinstalled software that you will never use, it doesn't crash often, etc. Since I started using it I learned a lot about operating systems and computers. So what about you? Also do you have any reason for using the operating you are currently using or are you curious to try new ones?

I use both a chromebook and a desktop windows computer. I like Chrome OS because it allows for a very fast computer for a very low price. I love how minimal it is and how it makes it harder to get distracted. The windows pc is there for video games and to run applications I can't run on my chromebook, such as photoshop, video editing software etc.
