Regarding the US election

Let me start off by saying that i'm not from the US, but it being one of the most if not the most powerful and influential country in the world, i believe it is safe to say its politics concern all of us.
Having said that, it truly amazed me that a country like the US had to go trough such a bizzare election campaign. It is not the first time it has happened, of course, but it's still impossible to neglect that this has been one of the most controvertial campaigns in the last centuries.
How US citizens allowed for Trump and Hillary to gain such power is beyond my comprehension.
Anyway, as i'm sure you're aware, Trump won the election. I consider Trump and Hillary to be equally bad, so had Hillary won i would've probably posted this same post.
So now you have a xenophobe in control of nuclear weapons. I don't know how to feel about that. While i knew he was going to win (In fact, a couple of friends and i gambled on who would win and i was the only one who claimed Trump would trump (Pun intended). They laughed at me but they owe me a pizza now, so jokes on them i guess.) it still seems weird. It is both scary and intriguing to see what he might do now.
The US is like 35% of the world's economy, so i genuinely hope you fare well, but i highly doubt it.
We can only wait and see what happens, perhaps after this US citizens will be more conscious when it comes to politics.
Best of lucks.

PD: I investigated a lot on how US elections worked, and they are weird to say the least. I really hope you change it someday.

I think Trump is smart enough to know that it's a bad idea to use nuclear weapons willy nilly.

I don't know where you got the idea that Hillary is an unusual politician.

Trump is the only wild card. We don't really know what he will do, which is why the stock markets crashed as it became clear he would be the next POTUS.

I certainly hope so.

Not an unusual politician, just a very bad one.

Why do you think Hillary and Trump are equally bad?

Is it cool if we move the debate over here?

Because of the thousands of emails she deleted.
Because she recieves money from people and countries that hold a drastically different set of values from those of western societies.
Because she's advocated in favor of starting a war with Russia.
Because she's been caught lying numerous times and coincidentally changing her opinion on heavy topics whenever a new poll about said topic is conducted.
Because of the Clinton's tax loophole, which favors some of her contributors.

1) Please elaborate on why the emails matter.
2) Her charitable FOUNDATION received the money, and I agree it's a problem. But I don't think that alone makes her worse than Trump
3) Do you have a source that she advocated for war with Russia?
4) That's a problem, but it's not unique to her. Obama lied about being against marriage equality when it was politically expedient.
5) Yeah, all politicians are influenced by their donors. That's not unique to her.

Trump is not a politician, he's an outsider. That gives him a huge advantage.

When somebody thinks Hillary is as bad as or worse than Trump, your argument seems to come down to a statement of opinion. That's not an argument...

That gives him an advantage in the eyes of voters; it doesn't actually make him a an equal candidate (which is what we're discussing).
Trump IS a politician. He's full of rhetoric and empty promises. He just talks like the average person- he's a master manipulator.

Well, that was just me stating my opinion about it. I didn't explain it because I want to make sure Mateo agrees with the other points first.
