Here is an interesting video about Napoleon Bonaparte, giving two different perspectives on him.

My opinion on Napoleon was that he was a brilliant man who preserved the ideals of the French revolution but nevertheless managed to keep France stable and stopped it from being plunged into chaos.

What are your thoughts on Napoleon?

Yeah... He was a brutal dictator, but he was better than the previous brutal dictator (the king), because he actually helped the poor economically... Like how Lenin was brutal when the civil war in Russia erupted, but even at his most brutal time, he wasn't worse than the czar.

It's hard to keep a grasp on power, sometimes the least evil reasonably possible is still pretty evil, but it can be good given the alternatives.
