Poll: Background Music in My Videos?

Should I include background music throughout the length of my videos as I debunk opinions and present my position? If you look at professional documentaries or presentations, you will often find music in the background. Do you think I should incorporate more music in my videos?

Many youtubers fail horribly on balancing the levels of their audio, if you can balance them properly of having a clear speaker and some audio- by all means go for it.

I don't know if you should use copy writted materials, it may effect you later even if it's for "fair use" or something.

Some people will see it as added production value. If the levels are well balanced, it matches the content it's meant to emphasize and you can juggle the extra work, without affecting the main content; I would say, go ahead.

For this type of questions, I suggest you use http://strawpoll.me/
On any video, you can say towards the end to vote in the strawpoll, and leave a link in the description. In this way you'll get many more votes and a larger general opinion.

Is there a good practice ratio or level to keep the music from interfering from the narration?

yes the common practice is to make it so that we can understand what your saying even when the music is playing
