Interesting video, but although I believe "religion" plays a part at its core it is the HUMAN ERROR that causes the violence in this world. Religion is simply part of the equation and in truth and honesty a small part.

It's like saying all black people are thief's or have HIV because most blacks in Africa do.

And most people do not know that for example Africa does have a native white race and thus the issue is with people and not any one or group of race, religion, non-religion, etc.

AgnosticAtheist. I didn't understand your post. "HUMAN ERROR" refers to something unintentional done by a human being. Do you mean that wars and violence are mostly unintentional?

I think what you are trying to get at is that people are generalizing when they shouldn't but I live in an African country and most people are not thiefs or have HIV here.

??? No native white race that I am aware of. I believe the first white settlers arrived and started stealing land from the blacks some 3-400 years ago.

It probably has something to do with aliens or some other kind of woo nonsense.

The idea of colored "races" itself is dubious enough; the concept is a social construct.

There are genes, and they are spread roughly throughout various geographic distributions, but they have a habit of not staying together in tidy little clumps, and there's nothing magical about skin color that delineates human beings into neat little categories.

There is and pretty much always has been substantial spillover between Africa and the Middle East and Europe. Not that that makes what he said any less offensive or accurate though.

I do think that religion plays a large part in this. however i do not think atheism will solve any of it. I think the correlation has arisen dew to lack of reason. if the people where educated (in reason not atheism much of this would come to an end).

I'd have to agree that religion makes country's more violent, but I'd say that no religion can sometimes make country's more violent. My reasoning for this is that through out history country's have gone to war over them having different believes no mater how small. Also some political ideologys are violently apposed to religious orders with influence over the government.

Ideologys that call for the end of another that religious type wars happen but over ideology witch in a sents is the religion of politics.
