This is a simple poll asking if you think that the Minimum Wage should be raised or lowered.
The top 3 indicate yes, it should be raised.
The middle 2 indicate that you're unsure.
The Bottom 3 say that you want it lowered, or never raised.
Anyways, currently the U.S. is debating whether or not the Minimum Rage (That's what I call it) should be raised. I'm personally for it being raised, because other countries have the Minimum Wage for at least 10 bucks an hour. However, the U.S. economy isn't doing so good right now, which I kinda understand why people are getting pissed off. Submit your vote, and tell us why you chose your option!

Re: Minimum Wage (Poll)
I'm not up in arms over my Country's (more specifically my Province's which is Ontario's) minimum wage of $11.00/h which is quite decent, though I think it could stand to be raised a tiny bit more.
I know in various countries they have a specific set minimum wage lower than the normal one for certain workers, particularly restaurant or drink/liquor servers since they feel that the wage is enough once their tips are given directly to them or divided amongst (for some reason it says the word to the left of this text between the brackets is spelled incorrectly) the employees of the restaurant. For Ontario the minimum wage for liquor servers I think is pretty fair at $9.55/h compared to the standard minimum wage, but I've heard in a few states of the USA that the minimum wage for these restaurant workers can be as low as $2.00/h. While I think some restaurant workers being hourly paid $2.00 in the states may be able to get by with tips added, tips aren't guaranteed and if they receive little to no tips, then them showing up to work may be essentially pointless.
Now that I've looked up some more information on US minimum wage laws, supposedly if they don't make up to the standard minimum wage in tips their employer has to fill in the gap to the standard minimum wage, so that isn't too bad. Though, I could've sworn that wasn't the case for some states, at least not too long ago, but I may have been mistaken. Now I'm curious though, on what the least a worker is paid hourly in the states that don't have minimum wage laws. It sounds like those states would be a great environment for employers to really abuse employees who work at jobs where the employer can easily get away with paying the worker as little as possible, since they could quickly find another person to replace the unhappy worker with little effort, since the job probably doesn't require a special skill set or knowledge, and the new employee may be so impoverished that they're okay with whatever the employer's paying.

i dont see how raising minimum wage could hurt workers... In any case its a joke we live in a world where technology can give us everything we could need. If we knew how to live within our means and care more about our fellow primates.
Minimum wage should be calculated based on the average cost of rent/mortgages, utilities, food, and a typical car payment. If you have a job you need food, a place to sleep, and a car to drive.
