Time to start unfriending on Facebook

Here are a few categories you may all recognize:

The "old friend" who sends you a friend request but that's all you ever hear from him.
The "successful" annoying guy who send you pictures of him with his new car etc. etc. (one of my old friends even posted a picture of his first class plane ticket).
The proud parent who keeps sending pictures and updates of their kids
The religious twat who thanks God for every little thing that happens to him
The meat eating a-hole who tries to be funny any time I post anything relating to veganism.

My goal is to cut my 200 Facebook friend in half before the end of this year.

I have Facebook but I only use the messenger, I find it incredibly uninteresting on all grounds. The only social network I use is Reddit.

I was never really using Facebook for socializing. This year I found a couple of great Vegan support pages and I find them a great source of info. There is also this page where I occasionally find some interesting posts. https://www.facebook.com/groups/424866200949973/

fair enough if it works for you.
all i found more and more was it was a distraction from anything really meaningful.

since i have written more, read more and played my guitar a whole lot more.
